About the event

Facilitated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Mary Francis Drake, MA, MSW, DMin

The mysteries of death, dying and the dead can be known by the living. Many people have had experiences with disembodied spirits (ghosts or dead people), near-death experiences, interdimensional experiences, and the thin space around death and dying. Rt. Rev. Dr. Mary Francis Drake is one such person with decades of such experience to share to validate others as well as encourage hope in the process of living well and dying wisely.

Three Thursdays in October - 11am - 12:30pm EST

October 17th

October 24th

October 31st

October 17th - Session 1: Contemplating Death

As we age and consider our own mortality, we come to reckon with our thoughts, beliefs, and feelings about what happens after death. The Saints and Sages of all times have spoken on this topic and leave us with much to contemplate and investigate from this side of the veil. This session will guide you through the transition we call death from the perspective of Eastern and Western philosophies and religions so you can frame death for yourself in a way that suits your soul.

October 24th - Session 2: The Art of Dying Well and Wise

If we are lucky enough to live into old age, we will likely have time on our side in terms of the eldering and dying process. There is much to know about the inward-turning journey that age, illness, and impending death offer up to us. From eldering well, integrating life’s journey, and dying wise, we will contemplate this range

of experience that is coming for us all.

October 31st - Session 3: Relationship with the Beloved Deceased

Many people experience dreams, visions, and visitations of their beloved deceased people. One can practice the art of relationship even after death with intention and confidence as we learn the subtleties of the spirit. This session will offer an experience of the reframing of death, grief, and loss as we tap into the eternal nature of our spiritual selves.
